First report in Cuba of Left-Sided Chilaiditi syndrome

Both left Chilaiditi sign and syndrome are very rare and rarely reported in the literature. The case of a 49-year-old female patient with a three-year history of recurrent abdominal pain located in the left upper quadrant associated with episodes of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and syncope is described. After clinical reevaluation and imaging studies, the left Chilaiditi sign was observed and, given the symptoms, Chilaiditi syndrome was diagnosed. After consulting the national and international indexed literature, this report would be the first published in Cuba.
